Job
Summary:
We
are looking for a driven and focused individual to lead our Market
Research
efforts. The successful candidate will
be responsible for
developing
consumer insights to support the needs of the business units.
Using
both primary and secondary market research sources, the candidate will
analyze
and synthesize information into useful market insights. This
information
will be both qualitative and quantitative in nature.
Essential
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Design
and execute primary market research studies (e.g., concept tests,
attitude
& usage studies, claims sorts).
Tasks include selecting research
firms,
writing questionnaires, analyzing results, and presenting findings.
2.Utilize
secondary market research sources to gather information to support
business
unit needs. Sources include Lexis-Nexis,
Mintel, Euromonitor, and
other
databases/info hubs.
3.Analyze
quantitative data for a variety of activities, including
estimations
of market size/potential, tracking of sales data, market trends,
etc.
4.Develop
and manage research plan and budget.
5.Answer
ad-hoc market research questions as they arise to help drive sales,
gain
customers, and fulfill other business needs
6.Research
will be conducted by firms in the U.S. as well as several
countries
throughout the world.
Qualifications:
1.Bachelor's
degree required.
2.6-8
years related work experience, preferably for a CPG (or other
consumer-focused)
company.
3.Experience
should include several years of designing and leading primary
market
research studies.
4.Strong
quantitative skills including the ability to collect, analyze and
interpret
large amounts of data.
5.Strong
knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
6.Knowledge
of databases such as Lexis-Nexis preferred.
7.Excellent
written and oral communication skills.
